How We Verify Listings

Every listing is built from public, checkable sources — and shows when we last checked it.

License status

We look up each company in the official county license records (for Long Island: Nassau County and Suffolk County consumer affairs licensing). Listings show the license number, the status we found and the date of the check. If we can't find a license, the listing says "License not found" rather than guessing — a company may be licensed under a different business name, and we'll update it as soon as they tell us.

Prices

Prices come from each company's own website, published price lists, or details the company gives us directly. We show "starting at" prices and note where final pricing depends on pool size, cover type or condition. If a company doesn't publish prices, we say so.

Services, towns and availability

Services, towns served, pool types, equipment brands and booking details come from company websites and, once a company claims its listing, from the company itself. Company-provided details are marked as such.

How often we re-check

License status and prices are re-checked at least once a season, and every listing shows its "last verified" date.

Independence

We're not a pool company and we're not affiliated with any county agency. Listings are free. Companies may in the future pay for extra visibility (clearly labeled as featured), but payment never changes license status, prices or any other verified information.
